FROM THE HARBOUR TO THE SEA

RYAN GRIFFIN AND SALLY JANE

You are the sea,

and I am yours.

Like how the waves take the sand,

you have overcome me,

engulfed me,

saturated yourself in me.

Even if I think differently and dry myself of you,

the moon turns the tide,

and day by day you return to crash over me.

If I block you with boulders, you seep through to find my feet.

If I move further inland, you’re absorbed by the clouds to be poured all over me.

You are the sea,

and I am yours.

FROM THE SEA TO THE HARBOUR

RYAN GRIFFIN AND SALLY JANE

I am the sea,

and I am yours.

You welcome me,

contain and cradle me.

When the moon brings strength that spills,

you weather my storm.

When I seep through to find your feet,

trickling,

I find safe harbour.

I am the sea,

and I am yours.
